I think that this quote means that sometimes when we do lose our tempers the bad side to us comes out and we do and say things that in the moment we mean but later on we do not mean it.

This quote means that it’s better to be a alone sometimes because sometimes that people your with tell you to go with them and jack a store or if you want a cigarette.  Having nobody in your life is sometimes better than having people who just bring you problems.
