Monitor Surveillance Technician

Duties and Responsibilities:

Monitor surveillance technicians observe the electrical activity of heartbeats which is graphically displayed on a series of monitors in cardiac care units of hospitals. They gather and report heart pattern information on patients. They also identify heart pattern changes and abnormalities.

 Average Salary:

 $26,000 - $41,000

Educational Requirements:

Students wanting to become Monitor Surveillance Technicians should take math, science, and computer technology courses in high school. Upon graduation from high school they may enroll in training programs at vocational schools, community colleges, or hospitals. Programs vary from 2 -3 months.  

I don't think that I would like to be a Monitor surveillance technician it doesn't interest me.

I don't think that I would like to be a Health Science Librarian because  it doesn't interest me.

Christmas Break

    In my Christmas break I was with my friends riding my bike. I also went to go to support my friends and my brother because we went to races. We would go to MC Donald after.I also had a good time with my family at home. I got lots of money for Christmas and then the next day I went to go buy some shoes because I saw some that I liked.

Clinical Laboratory Specialists

Duties and Responsibilities:

Clinical Laboratory Specialists include both Clinical Laboratory Technicians and Clinical Technologists. Both technicians and technologists perform laboratory work to identify, diagnose, and treat diseases. Clinical laboratory technicians use microscopes, laboratory equipment, chemicals and computers to perform laboratory procedures. Most clinical laboratory specialists work in hospitals, but they are also employed by private practices, medical groups, research laboratories, pharmaceutical companies, and universities

Average Salary:   

$20,000 - $28,000 (Clinical laboratory technicians) 

$25,000 - $40,000 (Clinical technologists)

Educational Requirements:

Students should take the most challenging high school courses in, science, math, and English. A bachelor's degree is normally required to become a clinical technologist. Many technologists specialized on training to advance their careers in clinical chemistry, blood banking, and microbiology.
