Glenn Cunningham (athlete)

Glenn Cunningham legs were burned really badly from a explosion at his schoolhouse. He had lost all the flesh on his knees and his shins.He also lost all of his left toes.He tried to walk two year after the incident happened.He had faith on himself that he could walk.Then he competed in the 1932 summer Olympics and in the 1936 summer Olympics.In 1932 Olympics he got 4th place. In 1934 he set the world record for the mile run.In 1936 he set the world record in the 800 meter run.In 1938 he set a world record for the indoor mile run.
